  3. LOCALITY: North America (Alberta and
  4.           New Jersey)
  5. SIZE: 11 ft 6 in/3.5 m long

  7. For many years after its discovery in 1914,
  8. Struthiomimus was thought to be the same
  9. animal as Ornithomimus. But more detailed 
  10. research in 1972 showed that they were 
  11. indeed different, albeit in small ways. 
  12. Struthiomimus had longer arms than its
  13. relative, had stronger, curved claws on its
  14. fingers, and existed slightly earlier in the
  15. Late Cretaceous than Ornithomimus. It
  16. probably hunted along riverbanks in open
  17. country.
